Coos County, OR - After 19+ years of working for Coos County, County Clerk, Debbie Heller is set to retire on December 31, 2021.

I will be leaving the position mid-term, with 1 year remaining on my term. The Coos County Commissioners will make an appointment to fill the vacancy until a new clerk can be elected at the next General Election in November 2022.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the citizens of Coos County for the privilege to serve you. It has been an honor to represent you as your County Clerk.

I have worked in the County for 19+ years. During this time, I have served as the County Clerk since 2017 when I was first appointed and then elected in 2018, prior to this I was the Election Director from 2004-2017. My remaining years were spent working as an Office Specialist within both Land Records and Elections.

“I am at a point in my life where I am ready to spend time with my family and friends. My husband and I are ready to start working on our bucket list. Leaving public service is hard for me, as I have truly enjoyed each day, but knowing that my outstanding and dedicated staff will carry on to serve the public, allows me move on to the next chapter of my life.”
