Fraternal Order Of Police Declare the Governor’s Vaccine Mandates as Government Overreach Which Violates Oregon Law, The Oregon Constitution, And The Federal Constitution
Oregon Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge
Vaccine Mandate
Since 1915, The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) has been protecting our nation’s law enforcement officers. We are a professional organization with over 364,000 members nationally.
In Oregon, the State FOP Lodge membership approaches 1,400, which includes police officers, sheriff deputies, state troopers, and other law enforcement employees.
As the Covid-19 pandemic grips our state, our members and all first responders are on the front lines of public safety. Our members each took an Oath to uphold the laws and Constitution of The United States of America and The State of Oregon.
Mindful of our Oath and mission to protect law enforcement, the Oregon Lodge of The Fraternal Order of Police cannot support the over-reaching attempt by the Governor or other public employers to condition employment based on mandatory Covid-19 vaccines.
Oregon FOP plans to file a legal challenge on behalf of its members opposing the Governor’s Executive Order requiring our Executive Branch law enforcement employees (full and part-time) members to obtain vaccine(s) or be terminated. This is government overreach which violates Oregon law, the Oregon Constitution, and the Federal Constitution. We cannot allow this executive order to go unchallenged.
This endeavor needs to happen but we need financial assistance in making it reality. Your donation will help the Oregon FOP fight for all law enforcement officers’ rights in Oregon.
