Bandon City Officials and their Revealing Email Exchanges
The following files are the email and text exchanges between several Bandon City Officials concerning the “emergency” resolution passed by the Utility Commission and the illegal fee increase on the water bill.
On June 3, 2019, the City Mayor and City Councilors enacted an illegal fee increase voting against the citizens and their own city charter that clearly states that the city officials do not have this authority.
The authority of “rate setting” is in the hands of the voters of the city.
The city officials violated that “AUTHORITY.”
These emails and texts will explain the mindset of the former City Manager, Matt Winkle, and his plot to do an end run around the voters and the city charter with the complicity of a willing Mayor and City Council.
After the city gave up these emails for City Manager, Robert Mawson and Chair of the Utilities Commission, Matt Winkel, both men resigned their positions.
