News Release from North Bend Sch. Dist.
August 5th, 2022, 9:54 AM

On August 4, 2022, the North Bend School District declared a vacancy on the board due to the resignation of board member, Spencer Gordon. Board Member Gordon has served on the board since 2019 and the district is grateful for his service.

The board will be filling the board member vacancy per board policy by appointment. The appointment will be for the 2022-2023 school year and will be on the ballot for the May 2023 election. If you are interested and willing to serve on the board, we would appreciate submitting a letter of interest to the district. Each potential candidate is required to be 18 years of age, a resident of North Bend for at least one year prior to appointment and a legally registered voter. Please confirm that you meet these minimum qualifications in your letter.

Regular Board Meetings are typically held the 1st Thursday of each month, with special meetings usually held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Some personal time is required individually for study and growth, such as attending district, state, and/or national meetings. If you have any questions about what being a member of the school board might require of you in terms of additional time and responsibility, please contact me or Jim Jordan, North Bend School Board Chair. Letters of interest are due no later than September 7, 2022 at 4:00 pm. When all letters have been submitted, the Board will review them. Individual interviews will take place at the September 15, 2022 regular board meeting.
