Kat was born and raised along the Northern California coast; she now lives just up the coast in Oregon in a small town of only 2500 people. Daughter of a healthcare provider and one of 6 siblings. Growing up in a large family Kat feels that family is an important part of her stories. Dynamics between family members can be both a blessing and a curse.
She doesn’t just stick with one genre, fiction, science fiction, family drama and children’s stories. But one of her favorites is drama with a twist of romance (or is it romance with a twist?)
Inspired by her vivid imagination, she began writing her debut fiction novel For the Protection of a Woman after a brush with death, thinking there is no time like the present. For the Protection of a Woman is being pre-released this Fall, and goes retail March 2023 - she is so excited.
Kat has education in healthcare, but her ambition has turned to writing, which is now her passion. There is a quote that goes “When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.” That’s how she feels, the odds are not in our favor to write and publish a book or novel, but if it is important enough to you, don’t quit!
When she is not creating new novel ideas, no pun intended, she can be found baking or enjoying music with a latte. She loves to travel and camp with her husband Rocky and dog Moxie.
