Gabe Fabrizio joined the military at 18, and spent 20 years as a Psychological Operations Specialist (Airborne). He deployed many times in peacetime and four times in combat. In 2013, Gabe retired as a First Sergeant and joined the Coos County Sheriff's Office the same month.

Responsibilities:
Gabe is in charge of Dispatch, fleet management, civil, records, concealed handgun licenses, and Emergency Services Management. His duties have included assisting with all budgeting facets of the office.
Completed Projects:
Dispatch earthquake retrofitting
Emergency Communications upgrade for all First Responders
Body worn camera implementation
Accreditation with the National Administration of State Boating Law Administrators
Upgrading handheld and in-car radio equipment for the Sheriff's office
Priorities:
Gabe's priority is the health and safety of the community. Jail staffing issues are being addressed, with the goal of opening the jail to full capacity as soon as possible and expanding the capacity in the future. Patrol operations are also essential to the citizens, requiring a strong and consistent recruiting effort.
Gabe recognizes that drugs have increased all facets of crime while degrading community quality of life, and has been working with SCINT to find solution that allows for narcotics enforcement.
Working with community programs to find a solution for homeless persons and persons with mental challenges has been an effort for years, as resources and assistance are limited.
Gabe is a volunteer of the Coquille Fire Department, and is an EMT-B. He is a member of the VFW and of Mensa. Gabe enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, kayaking, martial arts, and reading.
