Ben Edtl Candidate for State Senate District 19 4:08 PM Monday October 24, 2022 on KWRO
Ben Stood up to the Most Powerful Elites in Salem
And now he’s challenging Democrat Senate Leader Rob Wagner for his seat in District 19.
Facing lockdowns, lawlessness and public cancel as a small business owner in 2020, Ben founded Free Oregon, Inc. a non-partisan public benefit company with the mission of defending the civil rights.
He inspired more than 20,000 Oregonians to participate in the political process. Together, they changed the direction of Oregon’s politics from the ground up.
Ben believes that local communities know their challenges as well as their solutions. As Senator, Ben wants to get the State out of the way and enable Oregonians to recover from decades of one party rule and the State’s historic power grab.
Ben is a Portland native. He is constitutionally conservative and socially liberal. He is a father, a husband and a career small business owner. His children attend public school. He is invested in our community and determined to serve the People of District 19 with integrity and passion.
Focused on the Issues that Matter
Rob Wagner and his Senate Democrats aren’t just ignoring the problems that matter most to us, they engineered them. Crime, cost of living, homelessness and the political indoctrination of our children in public schools was imposed through a collaborative effort by Kate Brown, Rob Wagner, Tina Kotek, Ted Wheeler and other local politicians working to purposefully erode our communities. This is not rhetoric. Rob Wagner’s voting record proves this beyond any doubt.
Today, the Portland Metro Area is festering with human tragedy. Our police are defunded and demoralized. Crime and murder have reached historic levels. Thousands of enabled drug addicts are left to suffer and die from their disease in our streets. More children have committed suicide than at any other time in our history.
Now, more than ever, we must unite to stop the humanitarian crisis in the Portland Metro Area and change the direction of our state. The time is now to exercise democracy and reject the politicians, like Rob Wagner, who brought us to this place.
As an activist, I’ve proven my ability to turn the dial. As State Senator, I’ll have the authority I need to lead Oregon in a new direction. My first priorities in Salem will be to:
Properly fund public safety and remove prosecutors who refuse to enforce the law.
Restore testing and graduation standards and eliminate indoctrinative racial and sexualized curriculum in our schools.
Establish responsible tax policies that make Oregon more affordable and Oregonians more prosperous.
Enact humane, common sense solutions to solve the homeless and mental health crisis created by Rob Wagner and his subjects in Salem.
Reinstate First Amendment medical and religious freedoms: your body, your choice.
